Well I took long enough!

Two nights ago, after amassing more than 1,700 dragon bones worth over 6 million coins, I finally burned them all and got 89 Prayer :D Nothing else noteworthy has occurred in the nearly month since my last post, although I am trying to make some origami balloons for fun.

Finally!

Tonight Clutesi and I successfully got 99 Fishing together. The party was larger than I expected, roughly 20 people turned out from ALL my groups of friends - GW, W114 Fishers, #yoo, and even KD :D Huge thank you to everyone who came, I really appreciated it :)

Nel's Overload

I've been on a whirlwind adventure since my last post trying to gain levels (and keep busy!) until my 99 party.

Progress so far:

Easy Varrock Achievement Diary Completed
Enchanted Key (Making History) rewards all found

I am in the falconry area of Piscatoris right now; I hope to get 53 Hunter before the end of tonight so that I can move on to chinchompas.

Sunday Morning Log

Since getting to my "sitting spot" for 99 Fishing, I've been up to quite a bit! I've gotten 68 Cooking and two Runecrafting levels (the latter I hadn't leveled in months). I also worked on my seafood menu for the Maritime Brume Restaurant. I found a few nifty items I'd like to add to the menu, but I think the more expensive items will be on special only (like rocktail).

There are some quests I can still do, I think I'll get around to doing those as well (such as Murder Mystery). MM specifically should be interesting because the last time I did it was in RuneScape Classic. I'm also considering getting back into playing Arcanists. I have a FunOrb membership, but it's been a while since I actually went on FunOrb :S

Thursday Morning Chill

Moment of truth :) I really pushed myself today in my final big day of fishing towards 99. I also had a ton of fun! I was the chef for the Maritime Brume Restaurant, which was a new type of gameplay for me. I'd never seen a house laid out to be a restaurant, so it was interesting to say the least :)

After cleaning up the kitchen, I got back to my fishing. Clutesi fished with me later on in the evening, and managed to get 97 Fishing tonight. Woohoo!

The date/time of the joint fishing party for Clutesi and me has been decided!

Wednesday Morning Drive

Yet more fishing! Clutesi showed up again and we fished together while I hung out in the RS Outreach cc. Helped a player new to Members get to Otto and had a gravedigger event (the only event that I still go for the clothing for in as I haven't gotten all the zombie clothes).

I lost several hours of fishing due to computer maintainance. First Norton expired so I uninstalled it and installed Kaspersky...then Windows updated...then Windows installed Service Pack 2...then Windows updated again and I was finally, FINALLY able to get back to fishing. When Norton expired it kept randomly resetting my wireless adapter so I'd lose connection (which is always stressful near an aggressive NPC that can kill you in two hits...) and have to wait for it to come back up. Just one more reason I dislike Norton (but it came with the computer >.>')

Tuesday Morning Nuze

Another day down, I'm getting more excited! I'm more than 50% of the way to 99 from 98. However, part of me also can't believe I'm actually this close to a 99 for the first time. Today a friend, Shane F3, fished with me a little. This was particularly nice as Shane hasn't been able to get online too much, so to see him on at all was a rarity in itself.

Another day of fishing down, another relatively un-eventful day. Only thing that broke the monotony was a maze random, in which I gained 80K worth of stuff.

Whee! I'm 50% to 99 now :) I went to my friend Mithshark's 99 Strength party, big congrats to him :) Other than that, tonight was quite slow.

Saturday Morning Fishing Report

This should only last a few more posts :-P

Today I multitasked fishing while playing Kingdom Hearts 2 (and pausing when need be). I gained a total of just over 100K xp, got two more crimson charms (I'm still on the fence if I want to make a mini-obleisk or not...but I'm collecting anyway), and now have 14K feather left in my inventory.

I need to stop staying up so late, though. These 3 and 4 AM bedtimes are killing me :x

This is really the update as of early this morning when I logged off. To my delight (and a bit of surprise) the feathers I'm using are now worth twice as much as what I paid for them, thanks to the limited stock in shops now.

A little bit more fishing

Last night I bumped into a very good friend, Gw Tux (Chris). He was on his way up to the fire giants on Baxtoran, and we sat and chatted for a bit before he went on his way. I spent roughly 2-3 hours fishing with my fishin' buddy Clutesi. If everything works out, and I pray that it does, 'tesi and I will be having a double fishing party. Once I get within 5k or so of 99, I'm going to go focus on some other skills that I haven't raised much - probably Runecrafting, Hunter, and/or Woodcut. Hunter is amongst my lowest skills...and it would be very nice to have an alternative to fishing for money when I get bored :P

I am now 11% to 99 from 98. I have roughly 22,300 feather left, of which I will probably need 20,000 I estimate. I do wonder if feather is worth more on the GE now that shops are limited again...

This was originally a thread on my old clan's forum, but that clan recently ceased operations. After musing a bit (and seeing the success of a friend's blog) I decided that starting a blog to keep track of Nel's advancements would work far better than managing a plethora of various threads (although I will keep updating those for a while, until this catches on)
